GPs that provide antenatal shared care have undertaken additional training in women’s health and obstetrics. Our GPs work in collaboration with midwives and obstetricians at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Camperdown.

Antenatal shared care is a convenient means of accessing obstetric care by visiting your GP, saving you prolonged waiting times in hospital. We can provide continued care, so you are not seeing a different midwife or doctor at each hospital visit. It is also a convenient means of accessing advice and assessment should any issues arise outside of routine scheduled antenatal appointments.

Our Doctors at Crown St Medical Centre also provide post natal care. Whilst motherhood is life changing and busy, it is also important for new mothers to ensure they return to optimum health for themselves and their new family, especially as physical and emotional problems can arise during this time.
