Crown St Medical Centre (Surry Hills) is pleased to welcome Dr Katie Burkitt who will be working part-time on Tuesdays and Thursdays from August 2024.
Dr Katie is a GP registrar who graduated from The Australian National University with an MChD in 2017. She completed her junior medical training at Canberra and Bega Hospitals before gaining further training in paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, and sexual health across various Sydney and rural hospitals before commencing GP training in 2023.
She is currently studying a master’s degree in Public Health and has completed the Sydney Child Health Program and Certificate in Women’s Health. She has a strong interest in preventative health, women’s health, LGBTQI health, sexual health and paediatrics. She is qualified in Implanon insertions and removals. Katie is also an accredited s100 prescriber for HIV and hepatitis B.
Clinical Areas of Interest: Preventative Health, Women’s Health, Child and Adolescent Health, Sexual and Reproductive Health (S100 HIV and Hepatitis B prescriber), Travel Medicine.
Personal Interests: Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, travel and exploring the outdoors.
