Children 15yrs and under are bulk-billed between 10am-4pm on weekdays with a booked appointment.
Concession Card Holders (EXISTING Patients) are bulk billed on weekdays from 10am-4pm (last appointment 3.45pm excludes public holidays). Private billing applies at all other times & for NEW patients. If you do not have a booked appointment and our doctors see you as a fit in, this will attract a $45 out of pocket fee (after your Medicare rebate) and $60 on Weekends & Public Holidays.

Walk-ins (Patients without appointments)
We will try to offer all Walk-in patients a same day appointment. If this is not available and you would like to wait, our doctors will fit you in between patients (Private billing applies for Walk-in patients).
Whilst we make every effort to fit-in all patients, we may NOT be able to fit-in Walk-in patients around closing hour & on exceptionally busy days so please call 9360 3338 to confirm.

Mental Health Care Plans and Mental Health Care Plan Reviews will attract on out of pocket fee of $60 after your medicare rebate.

Pap Smears
Pap smears consultations are privately billed. The total out of pocket gap fee is $45 on Weekdays and $60 on W/ends & P/Hols (after your medicare rebate) for valid medicare card holders.
Procedures
Certain procedures, for example:
- Implanon insertion/ removal will attract an out of pocket equipment fee from $85-120.
- Skin lesion biopsies or removals, and suturing will attract an out of pocket equipment fee from $100.
- The out of pocket fee is $125 for Iron infusions
- For other procedures, our GPs will inform you of any costs.
This is to help cover the cost of various items used during the procedure such as disposable surgical equipment, dressings, sutures, local anaesthetic and cryotherapy. Your doctor or the reception staff will be able to inform you if your visit will attract a procedure fee.
Cancellation/Non-Attendance
We understand that plans can change. Please inform us as soon as you can if you are unable to attend your appointment.
For GP appointments (Doctor appointments), any non-attendance or changes to your appointment within 2 hours notice will attract a cancellation fee of $35 late-cancellation/non-attendance fee. This is payable prior to your next Crown St Medical Centre visit.
Non-Attendance/Late Cancellation Fee apply for changes made to your appointment with less than 48 hours notice. The fee is $35 for Physiotherapist appointments, $120 for Psychologist appointments, and $75 for Dietitian appointments.
Online Medicare Claiming
For your convenience, we can transmit your Medicare claim instantly using Tyro, so your rebate appears in your account instantly. This also saves you the hassle of lodging your claim at a Medicare office. Please ensure that your details are correct and updated with Medicare.
Skin Cancer Checks
Skin cancer checks attract a $60 out of pocket fee after your medicare rebate. The full skin cancer examination is performed by Dr Duc Ho, Dr Ravi Raju, & Dr Pauline Yuan who have completed additional training in skin cancer medicine.
Travel Vaccines
Please contact our reception staff if you require further information on the costs of travel vaccinations. Crown St Medical Centre is a yellow fever accredited centre.
Test Results
To ensure we maintain the highest level of care, a follow up appointment is required for all test results. Results cannot be given out over the phone by our reception staff.
Please arrange a GP Phone Consult or Face to Face Appointment to discuss your results.
Telehealth (Phone & Video) Consultations
Telehealth Consultations are primarily Privately Billed. Please see our fee structure below (plus a $1.35 Processing fee). Medicare Rebates are only available for eligible patients who have physically attended the clinic for a face to face visit within the last 12 months. If you are unsure, please call reception to confirm.
Bulk-billed telehealth consults are available to Children under 16 yrs and Concession Card Holders who have a booked telehealth appointment between 10am to 4pm, Monday to Friday (excludes public holidays).
